Trackless routes
Trackless trains operate on a suitable road without a dedicated rail. Road width, surface, gradient, drainage, turning radius and braking conditions still need to be checked before model selection.
Track systems
Track trains create a fixed circulation. The vehicle, rail geometry, foundations, station, pedestrian separation and safety plan should be designed as one system.
Information to prepare
Prepare a route drawing, distance, minimum width, maximum slope, smallest turning area, passengers per hour, daily operating time and local compliance requirements.
Use boundary
This guide does not replace a current model sheet, engineering design, local advice or contract.
